While most of us would strike a creative goldmine upon a visit to Alaska, Anchorage-based designer Jamie Johnson found inspiration in sunshine, red lace, black leather, and a little rock and roll during a trip to Los Angeles last year. Incorporating her background of designing custom dresses and her LA influence, Jamie set out to put a modern twist on a classic style, creating a line of couture-level gowns with edgy details.

The Nineteenth Amendment team set out to recreate the land of glam and palm trees right here in New York. See how we recreated LA with behind the scene pictures from our in-house photo shoot.
